- Rocky Neck and the surrounding Connecticut coast line is a distant border between green and blue.
- At this altitude, you can clearly see all of North America and travailing at your average speed of 17,000 mph, the landscape would change quickly as the clouds rolled by below you.

The view out the International Space Station or NASA Shuttle window stretches just shy of 200 miles from corner to corner.
- River definition becomes clearer with sections of the Hudson (J) and Connecticut (X) rivers visible.
- Coastal islands like the barrier island called Fire Island (K) of Long Island come into view.
- Areas of dense human population including Hartford (L), Stamford (M), New London(N), New Haven(O) are visible.
- Highway definition is still not visible.
- New York City (P) is the concentration of grey in the lower left of your view.
- Montauk (Q) and the Hamptons is the area at point and southeastern section end of Long Island.

The view from Felix Baumgartner’s capsule just before he bunny hopped off the platform would have been spectacular with the curvature of the earth just visible on the horizon.
- In the upper corner of your view, the Mohegan Reservation (R) is visible along the shores of the Thames River (S).
- Halfway between the Connecticut(T) and Thames (S) river lies the sandy beach home to Rocky Neck State Park (U).
- Black Point(V) and Millstone Point (W) provide protection for Niantic Bay and entry into the Niantic River.
- The distinct New England shoreline becomes clearer with its hundreds of inlets and craggy coastline.

The view from the window of your seat aboard a 737 spans about five miles and shows the entirety of Rocky Neck State Park.
- The Conrail track (Z) is clearly visible including the rail bridge constructed over the Pattagansett River (0).
- Golf course in southeast corner to western section of downtown Niantic and McCook Point Park (1).
- The mostly manmade sand beaches (2) are visible at the area of high contrast where the shoreline meets the ocean.
- The open area of the main parking lot are visible at Rocky Neck State Park (3).
- Interstate 95 (4) is visible at the northern section of your view as this is the primary corridor for transportation in the area.

From the cruising altitude of your helicopter, your view at 1.5 miles above the surface is your first introduction to the immediate area surrounding our wedding site.
- The nearly three-quarters mile width of the park is clearly visible with the centerpiece half mile sand beach (5).
- The Pavilion(6) and adjacent lawn are visible on Lands End (7) point with jetty nearby (8).

If you found yourself literally at bird’s-eye view, your 500 foot perspective would give you an excellent view.
- The Pavilion (6) is front and center showing it’s nearly 364 foot length and curved shape to match the adjacent beach.
- As of December, 2012, the aerial image from Google Earth was taken just weeks After Hurricane Irene in late August. The image shows damage to the grassy lawn (9) in front of the Pavilion.
- The bridge from the parking area over the Conrail tracks (Z) is visible.
- The site of our outdoor ceremony (Hearts) is visible in a clearing between the trees.
- The patio (Dancing People) for the cocktail hour is prominent just off-center in your view.
