Here are some of the details for our big day.
Ceremony Location
Rocky Neck State Park, East Lyme, CT
The ceremony and reception will be held in the same State Park with only a short walk from the ceremony site to the reception.
GPS friendly address:
244 West Main St.
East Lyme, Connecticut 06357
General Details
We will be married on the shore of Long Island Sound on the lawn adjacent to the Pavilion at Rocky Neck State Park.
The ceremony site is partially shaded but by 4:30pm we expect the sun to be of little impact to our guests. In any event, please plan accordingly.
Inclement Weather
We don’t want to plan for it, let alone even think about it, but in the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will take place in the Pavilion followed by a cocktail hour and reception in the same place.
Let’s keep our fingers crossed that we get a gorgeous day. We respect the averages on weather for the area and we have an almost even chance of rain or sun.

Reception The Pavilion at Rocky Neck State Park will be used for the reception. By the way, the icon for this one is a group dancing, although it appears they may be an angry mob. East Lyme, CT
Parking This parking area is only open to Pavilion guests and can hold up to 40 cars. East Lyme, CT
Parking (Overflow) Overflow parking is in the general lot. Park staff will direct you to the best parking location depending on what time you arrive. East Lyme, CT |
Parking
Parking for the ceremony and reception are the same. The first forty cars to arrive can park in the event parking area directly behind the Pavilion. The remaining guests will be directed to park near the East Beach Access area by Park Rangers.
Park Admission
Park admission is waived for our guests. The process is solely based on the honor system, plus our guests will likely be dressed differently than the average beach goer.
In the event that there is a question over admission, mention you are here for the Benson/Carew wedding.
